On the 4th of December the second DMC famtrip of the Haarlem Convention Bureau took place. The Ovation DMC and MCI group team were picked up in a very special way: by a bus from the year 1965, which at that time provided public transport between Haarlem and Amsterdam.
During the famtrip the focus was mainly on visiting a number of unique locations and getting to know the possibilities that the Haarlem region has to offer. From a canal cruise through the river Spaarne provided by ‘t Smidtje Canal Cruises to a visit to Huis Barnaart and the Patronaat. In addition, a visit was made to the new visitor center Anno Haarlem, where the film ‘Haarlem in a bird’s-eye view’ was shown while enjoying hot chocolate, provided by Cafe XO. This is a film about the history of Haarlem.
Moniek van Veen, Manager of Operations Ovation Holland:
‘We all thought it was a great day, was very well organized, timing was good, in short: top organization! Thank you very much. Really nice, innovative locations and a completely new look at Haarlem. Everyone was very impressed with the possibilities.
